Case:

Calix was contracted to participate in a global project in which the objective was to develop a solution for data integration between systems of Human Resource Management: Peoplesoft HCM® and DATASUL HCM®. 
 
The business processes use workflow tools, such as the IBM Lotus Notes® system that triggers the process of interaction in specific stages of the process. The data is stored in the Peoplesoft HCM® system and replicated in DATASUL HCM®.
 
Data is exchanged between systems through EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) with predefined interfaces, according to the requirements of each system.

Tools and Technologies Applied:

4GL Progress®: Fourth-generation Programming Language (4GL) developed by Progress Software Corporation, event-based, integrated with a relational database for high performance and security, all embedded in a single product.
 
Datasul HCM®: The Datasul Human Capital Management® is a human capital management system that works through modules integrated with Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP). Its features include the five macro processes of human capital management: planning, procurement, development, compensation and monitoring, while offering advantages such as the Environmental Management solution.
 
Datasul EMS®: It is a solution for Enterprise Management System (EMS), maintained by DATASUL currently owned by TOTVS, with two versions, EMS and EMS 2® 5®, which includes several modules that are designed to automate and manage processes such as finance, human resources, logistics, and manufacturing, among others.
 
EDI - Electronic Data Interchange: This is the structured exchange of data across any data network, in other words, the electronic business documents movement between or within companies by using a structured data format that allows data to be understood and processed.
 
Oracle® Peoplesoft HCM®: Oracle PeopleSoft Human Capital Management® is an application of human capital management, web-based, used to build a information database covering all HR processes in a company, such as: wage planning, succession planning, variable compensation, skills management, training management, medical and security benefits, among others.
 
Lotus Notes®: It is a collaborative work and an e-mail client-server system, designed by Lotus Software®, part of the IBM Software Group®. It is one of the most widely used collaboration softwares in the world and translated into many languages. It can be installed on multiple platforms and multiple operating systems.
